At Loon Lake

Join Anita Adams at Loon Lake for a restorative weekend of mindfulness,
soulful connection, and guided artistic expression.

January 30 - February 1st, 2026

Step Into Stillness, Nature, and Creativity

In the rush of daily life, it’s easy to lose touch — with nature, with stillness, and with yourself. You may feel a quiet longing — a whisper calling you back to balance, clarity, and joy.

The Joyful Journey Retreat is your invitation to pause, breathe deeply, and remember who you truly are.

Nestled along the tranquil shores of Loon Lake in Maple Ridge, this restorative weekend offers space to unwind, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and awaken your creative spirit.

Through guided meditations, gentle yoga, mindful walks, reflective journaling, and soulful discussions rooted in The Wisdom Way, you’ll be guided on a journey of self-discovery and renewal. A special creative session led by award-winning artist Danielle Adams allows you to explore your artistic expression amidst nature’s beauty.

This is more than a retreat — it’s a joyful exploration of being, where nature, movement, stillness, reflection, and art come together to open the heart and nourish the soul..

Retreat Highlights

  • Reconnect with nature’s quiet wisdom as you walk forest trails, breathe in crisp winter air, and feel yourself soften into stillness.

  • Move out of your head and into your body through soulful practices like meditation, gentle yoga, and breathwork that invite calm, clarity, and flow.

  • Reflect and realign through soul-centred teachings and practices from The Wisdom Way, first introduced in Anita’s award-winning book Whispers of the Soul. These nourishing practices will help you slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with the light, love, and joy already within you.

  • Deepen your growth through heartfelt group sharing and Wisdom Circles that open space for vulnerability, laughter, and authentic connection.

  • Awaken your creative spirit in a guided landscape painting session led by award-winning artist Danielle Adams, a playful exploration of color, light, and expression inspired by the natural beauty surrounding you. (Fun fact: Danielle is Anita’s daughter, and they are thrilled to share this unique mother-daughter experience with you!)

  • Return to what truly matters as you let go of stress, reconnect with your essence, and rediscover the joy of simply being.

What to Expect

Over three rejuvenating days at Loon Lake, you’ll be gently guided through a flow of practices designed to restore balance, awaken joy, and nurture creativity.

Each morning begins with guided meditation and gentle yoga, inviting you to arrive fully in your body and set intentions for the day ahead.

During the day, you’ll explore mindful nature walks, reflective journaling, and group discussions rooted in The Wisdom Way, guiding you to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with your inner wisdom. You’ll also have spacious free time to rest, wander by the lake, or simply be still in nature’s quiet embrace.

A highlight of the weekend is our creative expression session, where Danielle Adams (Anita’s daughter) will guide you in capturing the landscape through paint. No experience is needed — this is about presence, play, and discovering your own creative voice.

You’ll also have the opportunity to experience a guided cold plunge, awakening your senses and refreshing your body, followed by soothing sauna sessions to restore warmth and relaxation.

Evenings are devoted to community and reflection — shared meals, laughter, and Wisdom Circles that nourish heart and soul.

As the weekend unfolds, you’ll find yourself softening into stillness, expanding into joy, and leaving with a renewed sense of clarity, vitality, and inner peace..
